The slogan for CWM "Alleviate suffering. Illuminate the mind. Ignite the Spirit", and they're a non-profit group based in Roswell, GA. I interned in the marketing department for the summer of 2017 and I listed the responsibilities and duties I had.
1. Research of best approach and guidelines for content marketing.
2. Assisting in creation of newsletter.
3. Research of use of new website tool/template called Divi which uses WordPress and another platform for comparison.
4. Creation of new landing pages to promote new program offering by CWM for seminarian promotions and support.
5. Miscellaneous other Marketing-related tasks as deemed necessary by the Operations manager.
- Had to prepare for weekly progress reports with supervisor.
- Designed new website: created new pages (including creating links, inserting pictures and editing them); also wrote some of the text (including headlines and body of site paragraph blocks).
- Had to research best practices for writing headlines/headers/titles that increase SEO value and format them to catch peoples eye and make them interested.
- Tasked with trying to attract a certain audience millennials in order for them to visit the site and keep themselves updated on CWM campaigns/projects so that they would donate later on in life when they could afford to do so.
- Attended bi-weekly meetings where I would present my work and progress from the past two weeks to my boss.
- Attended Blackbaud Vision Marketing and Fundraising Summit in Atlata, GA on 7/12/17.
- Designing webpages (ex. Seminarian Support Program and Kenya Campaign Page) as well as writing headlines and interview questions.
- Mail merging.
