Christopher Herrick

Hello, my name is Christopher Herrick but, everybody calls me Hunter. I am from Eufaula Alabama where I was born and raised. I also currently live in Eufaula. I have two of the most wonderful parents, a loving younger sister, two dogs and three cats. I knew from a very early age that my destiny was to become a school teacher. The person that influenced me the most was my kindergarten teacher. She made learning so fun and exciting. I graduated from Eufaula High School in May of 2010. After high school I started at Wallace Community College in Eufaula which is where I started my journey to fulfill my destiny of becoming a school teacher. I spent two and half years at Wallace Community College completing my general studies. While I was attending Wallace I found a job that could really impact my future. That job is becoming a substitute teacher. I have been a substitute teacher for the Eufaula City School system for four years now and I hope to continue until I become a teacher. Now I am at Troy University in Phenix City. I love Troy University and all of the people that make Troy what it is. I will be attending Troy University until December 2015 where I will complete the first part of my education, which is a Bachelors degree in K-6 education. After a few years of working as a teacher I hope to come back to Troy University in Phenix City to get my Masters degree in education. Like I mentioned earlier I knew a long time ago that I wanted to be a school teacher. I absolutely love working with children and helping them learn the task that they must know to make it not only to the next grade but, also in the world we live in. I believe that every child deserves not only an education, but a chance. I do not see myself anywhere else, but the classroom.
