I am a 19 year-old freshman at Castleton University. During my freshman year at CU I decided to major in social work and am extremely glad I did. Human rights, justice, and equality are all topics I am very passionate about! I have a big heart when it comes to the less fortunate, minorities, and in general people going through tough times. I believe humans are all born equal, and that everyone deserves an equal start to life. I hope to make a positive change in the world through social work, and I am excited to explore what this world has to offer.

Student Support Network
In my last semester of freshman year at CU I completed a Student Support Network (STP) program. The members of STP discussed topics such as: suicide, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse. At the end of the seven week program I received a certificate verifying that I had completed and passed the STP program. I was also given a little poster to put on my dormitory door that let students know I had been trained by STP and was able to help if any students wanted help.
