Edward Puzycki

"How are they supposed to shoot for the moon if they've never even seen the sky?" This Newark teacher's pain, along with similar pains of many others, is the purpose to my new start-up, Connect Forward. In this phase of my life, my success will be measured not only by my ability to successfully launch a new business, but by the ways in which I can leverage technology to unleash the potential of today's students, "exposing them to the stars" and making them aware of their own potential through a new generation of professional role models. I graduated from Lehigh in 2014 with a degree in physics and a new perspective on the world. Four years gave me much: I was able to experience life on three new continents- Africa, Asia, and South America. I sought knowledge relentlessly, taking classes in everything from Buddhist origins and special education to music theory and particle physics. I became a mentor and a friend as an RA, tutor and middle-school teacher. My Lehigh experience was a blessed one. Now, I am topping off my academic career in Lehigh's Technical Entrepreneurship M.Eng program. Here, I am learning how to apply my experiences through the lens of entrepreneurship, where the biggest problems are only opportunities and road-blocks are simply a challenge to creatively overcome. I believe in a world where possibilities are self-defined and where compassion can be your greatest asset. My goals in life are to experience joy and to contribute to the world what is mine to give- passion, creativity, insight, and intrigue. I am applying those things now to the world of education, where much new growth is needed and where our world's potential rests. Connect Forward is my first step into this world. The rest of story is yet to come. Specialties: teaching and entrepreneurship, relationship management, mindfulness, speaking & presenting, and a sick beat-box.
