Joshua Potts

Kent State University, Class of 2016
From Lorain
Since a very young age, I knew that aviation would be something that I would like to pursue but never really knew which part of aviation intrigued me most. In the past, I have always loved to be a part of a team working towards a common goal. In college, I realized that I found a calling to join the military in order to be a part of a massive team working towards extremely high goals. After graduating from Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, I came to Kent State University pursuing an Air Traffic Control major in the College of Technology. However, I had a deeper call to serve and decided to change my major as well as add another. Therefore, I am currently pursuing a double major in both Aviation Management as well as Business Administration while applying for Officer Candidate School for the Navy. As I finish up my last year at Kent State, I am striving to continue to learn and grow to become an all around man for others. Through leadership and management skills that I have learned over the course of many years, I hope to one day lead a squadron of Navy pilots as we complete out missions successfully and safely.
