Jordan Babler

I am a driven, motivated undergraduate student, focusing on civil engineering at Iowa State University. I work hard to understand the concept of every problem, and couple it with the correct solution process. I put this problem solving mindset in to my studies at ISU, as well as work experiences. I am passionate about civil engineering. For many years I would drive past construction and try to figure out what amount of problem solving goes in to these projects. This same response is amplified when I drive under or over bridges. I am most looking forward to learning what design techniques are necessary to make civil engineering projects safe and effective as my studies at ISU continue and I gain valuable internship experiences along the way. I desire to gain an internship opportunity for the summer of 2017 that is within the discipline of civil engineering. I am interested in furthering my understanding of the office work that is associated with civil engineering: cost estimating, quantity calculations, reviewing specs and plans, project design, and other general office duties.
