Emily Koerner was recognized for studying abroad
Studied the language of Italian abroad in Florence for one month through thorough all morning class and cultural field trips to galleries, museums, and churches. I practiced my language ability throughout the normal everyday activities as we explored the city and Italy.

I completed my third Fieldwork I in the Dominican Republic as part of a volunteer service trip. We built a house during the day and hosted a pop-up clinic for the late afternoons in the community. We also observed a Rehab Center for two days to learn more about OT in the context of the Dominican Republic.

Served in Mexico City for 10 days by living in an orphanage and working at a day care center. Worked with children 0-19 years old by cleaning, cooking, doing homework, and playing. Life-changing experience encouraged me to research more about poverty and immigration laws upon my return.
Orchestra
I was a cellist in the University of Scranton's performance music's orchestral group. I attended weekly practices, various rehearsals, and numerous concerts throughout the semesters.
One-on-one teacher's aide at Alpha school

I worked at a private school in Jackson, NJ as an aide who directly assisted an elementary-aged student. I helped with mobility, classwork, toileting, and feeding specifically for issues related to cerebral palsy. I encouraged my student to participate in classroom activities as well as school field trips to the pool or waterpark.

Technician at OZANE TERMITE AND PEST CONTROL

I worked during the summer breaks in between semesters. I was responsible for maintaining and driving a company vehicle, inspecting customers' homes, answering technical questions regarding pests and services, and removings stations from homes. My main objective were to calm customers with my professional demeanor, thoroughly and respectfully examine their home, and tactfully respond to unpredictable circumstances.
