Worked with fellow students from NEOMED and the undergraduate schools of KSU, YSU and the University of Akron, as well as local medical professionals to plan a international service trip.
Our work culminated in a trip to Masatepe, Nicaragua in December 2014 where we aided three physicans in providing medical care to the local population of Masatepe and surrounding communities.
As a student ambassador, I met with prospective students, both high school and college students who were interested in becoming a medical doctor. I took them on tours of the NEOMED campus, introduced them to faculty and students at NEOMED, answered their questions, and discussed life as a medical student.
A friend and I created a Global Health Brigades, Public Health chapter at Ohio State.
We recruited 8 other students to do a service trip to Honduras to make permanent infrastructure changes ( to prevent many common prevalent medical conditions) to the home of one family.
