Lauren Martin

I am currently a student at the University of Alabama obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with the intention to graduate in June 2018. It is my plan to attend Medical School upon graduation and to continue to be an active member of my community wherever I attend school. The most rewarding time I have spent during my time at the University has been serving as Vice President of the Diabetes Education Team. It has become a passion of mine to not only educate members of the community about the key components of a healthy and preventative lifestyle but also to serve as a mentor to peers who share my eagerness to devote their time and resources into giving back to our community. I have also enjoyed many other invaluable experiences such as working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant aimed to better understanding how children respond to stress, volunteering at a local clinic and learning from experienced doctors about developing strong work ethic.
