Lauren Byrd

I am currently an SEO Specialist for HigherVisibility, a digital marketing firm in Memphis, TN. I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies concentrating in Communications and Digital Marketing in May 2015. I received my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Memphis in May 2013 with a degree in Journalism concentrating in Public Relations and minoring in Sociology with cum laude honors. While at the U of M, I was involved in many programs which allowed me to have beneficial learning experiences as an undergraduate and graduate student. I was involved in the University of Memphis journalism department #GoPro mentorship program as well as the Professional Connections mentorship program. I was a member and captain (2 years) of The University of Memphis Pom Squad from 2009 - 2014. I also helped establish and create social media platforms for Memphis Pom. As an intern for various companies in Memphis, I wrote press releases, created social media content and managed different social media accounts. I also have intern experiences in marketing and media relations.
