Mia O'Brien

I'm an aspiring multimedia journalist with a concentration in sports broadcasting and a senior in Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications. I've always believed that, to be a good journalist, you need to know a lot of "stuff." Likewise, to be a good team player on any sports team, you need to know all the positions. Thus, I've spent much of my early career taking on different roles and paths in the field of sports media in a variety of places. I've reported in the field, created graphics in a marketing firm, worked in ticket sales, and pulled the tarp--several times over--and I've done it in my home state of New Jersey, New York, Los Angeles and even London. I hope to further expand my knowledge and reach by continuing to seek new opportunities in this ever-changing field while continuing to explore and serve the world around me.
