From Akron, OH
Business-Oriented Chemical Engineer | Problem Solver | Adventurous Hiker | Traveler | Entrepreneurial | On Job Hunt My name is Pritam Patil, an accomplished PhD researcher, I specialize in biomaterials development and biomedical research to address current clinical challenges. I have a diverse background in research, technology commercialization, the voice of customer analysis and startup investments. Personally, I enjoy talking to people and crave for opportunities to grow the network and to provide a value to my network. I get immense satisfaction from listening to other's problems, recognizing real cause and help in solving the problems innovatively using existing or new resources. I understand technology and can talk with the best of the scientists and professionals. With that said, I am also able to communicate across all aspects of the business. Whether its executives, the development team, sales professionals or even directors/entrepreneurs, I get buy-in and I move the initiative forward. That's how I lead the team of entrepreneurs for technology commercialization and contributed in voice-of-customer, market fit analysis, and competitive analysis thereby developing a viable business model. At another organization, I helped screening startup companies for early-stage investments ($25,000/50,000). I am currently looking for that next position that will allow me to broaden my scientific and business knowledge and at the same time further my mission in delivering value to the network of professionals. Please connect with me on LinkedIn and set up a time to talk further.

Business Analyst | Due Dilligence | Venture Tech Readiness | Business Model Review at Northeast Ohio Student Venture Fund

NEOSVF gives entrepreneurial students from higher education institutions an opportunity to better understand new ventures through experiential learning opportunities relating to entrepreneurship, venture capital, technology commercialization, and economic development.

I worked both as an IP and technology student analyst and active member of market analysis and due diligence team. Our team comprised of engineer entrepreneurs, law students, marketing, and finance business students. I screened 30+ startup companies based on executive summaries to select top possible contenders for careful evaluation and due diligence.

I worked with other members on due diligence and prepared a summary report of our analysis including intellectual property, technology, market, competition, finances, team, sales and revenue, customer channels analysis. Our recommendation helped NEOVSF board of directors to make $25,000/50,000 worths investments in most profitable and viable business.

R&D Intern (Community and Industrial Graduate Assistant Program) at O2 RegenTech LLC

The Community and Industrial Graduate Assistant Program (CIGA) is intended to further graduate education by providing students with opportunities to refine their training in settings where they can also contribute to the quality of work and community life.

My responsibilities included project study planning, budgeting, execution and creating the reports.

In 9 months of time, I planned and performed a preclinical (in vivo) testing of the advanced wound care treatment. I worked with scientific consultants and professionals to analyze results from this study and prepared a detailed report of the study.

Graduate Research Assistant | Scientist | Biomaterials | Characterization | In vitro/In vivo Testing at The University of Akron
Leipzig Bioengineering Lab. Leipzig Lab is a biotechnology and bioengineering research Lab at the University of Akron. As a graduate researcher at Leipzig Lab, I specialized in biomaterials characterization, cell based assays and preclinical (in vivo) testing for wound healing and regenerative medicine application research. During my research I developed acumen towards solving problems and grasping new techniques, instruments and softwares in research applications. As a part of my research I investigated material-cell interactions using in-vitro cell assays, protein expression assays, ICC, and flow cytometry. My experience in molecular biology techniques were broadened during my preclinical study analyses. I extensively performed IHC and imaging. Thus, developing ability to grasp new techniques and softwares such as optical/fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, LSM, Fluoview, Metamorph, Image-IQ, Image-J plugins. To develop novel cell micro environment engineering strategies using polymeric materials I have developed strong understanding of material characterization techniques mainly NMR, FTIR, particle analysis DLS, SEM, TEM, XPS, themal properties DSC and TGA. Over the course of 5 years, I have developed and tested 2 advanced biomaterials for non-healing diabetic wound ulcers and for engineering organoids (also known as, organs in a dish). I enjoy presenting research to scientific and non-scientific community and talk to peers and understand their ideas, solutions and a lot of times problems. I have presented my research at 9 major conferences and meetings. I was awarded for excellent research at 2 major conferences [SFB2015 and 9th (T2C) wound care conference]. My research is published in 3 high impact journals. I trained and mentored 4 undergraduate students and 2 graduate researchers. For a detailed list of accomplishments, please request my resume.
