Co-Developer of Alpha Rocket - Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at University of Alabama
Ongoing work with Dr. Olcmen in the Aerospace Engineering Department on a preliminary rocket propulsion system design software called Alpha Rocket. Alpha Rocket is being developed as a graphical application written in Java and designed in JavaFX to address the time consuming and complicated process of preliminary rocket propulsion system design and development. The application takes variable user inputs, performs a series of calculations based on analytical and historical data, and returns information critical to the design and development of liquid, solid, hybrid, and nuclear propulsion systems. The application also displays a graphical representation of the system, providing insight for further system design refinement. In the future, we hope to use this software to perform preliminary design and analysis of a hybrid propulsion system for a University of Alabama engineering competition team. This team is attempting to build a high-powered rocket for the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC), with the goal of reaching an altitude of 30,000 feet during the competition in June of 2017.

SharePoint Webmaster and Developer at University Fellows Experience
In this position, I developed an online information platform using Microsoft’s SharePoint software for the University Fellows Experience at the University of Alabama. Before the project started, I collaborated with current students and administrators to design and plan the online system. Because of our programs connections with another similar program, I had the opportunity to utilize an existing SharePoint server to build the site, which saved UFE thousands of dollars. I also worked with the Office of Information Technology to design and host a landing page at ufe.ua.edu so that students would have easy access to the new site. In August of 2015, I launched SharePoint to members of UFE, developed how-to guides, and trained new users. During this time I transitioned from developer to webmaster, and I now currently oversee all operations and solve user issues In August of 2016, I relaunched SharePoint after the server was upgraded to the most recent version of SharePoint. This launch added new features and streamlined the site to make it more efficient and user-friendly.
