Richard Lively

I taught myself the basics of Java development on an especially hot summer day, sitting in my room in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Yes, you read that right, Thailand. I had always been fascinated about how things worked, but as a high school student living in Thailand, this fascination turned its focus towards computers and software. Now Im at Cedarville University learning everything I can in and outside the classroom, earning a Computer Science degree with a focus on Computer Security. You see, my experiences in Thailand, Russia, Malaysia, Austria, Finland, and many other countries have not only taught me how to interact with many types of people, I also have a unique perspective on just how dangerous the world can be and how important Computer Security truly is. I hope to use my skills in programming to both create software and to protect systems from virtual attacks. When Im not coding away or reading up on technology, you can find me playing golf or racquetball with my friends or catching up on the latest show.
