Rick Alatriste

I was born in the southeastern State of Tabasco in Mexico August 29th 1978. After attending basic schooling in Mexico I moved to the US in 1989. During 1997 to 2003 I worked in Television and Music production in Mexico City, and Madrid Spain. I began to attend part-time community colleges in 1998 in order to complete all the pre requisite classes in order to apply to nursing school. In 2011 I began to attend California State University Bakersfield full time and finally finished all my prerequisites, as Nursing school applications are done one year ahead I decided to study abroad and learn a third language, French. Through the CSU International Program I moved to Aix-en-Provence a small town in the south of France. I was fortunate to travel during my stay, to Russia, Turkey, Morocco, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina and most western European countries. I was finally accepted to Los Angeles Pierce Community College Nursing Program and began in Fall 2013. As I preferred a Bachelor’s degree I withdrew from LAPC and decided to attend the direct entry program at Ashland University beginning Spring 2014. I was honored with becoming a brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon Pi-Alpha chapter on April 20th 2014. I plan to graduate in December 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a Minor in French.
