Ojiugo Omeoga

Growing up in a developing country where technology is not a cultural norm and information is not easily shared among children and young adults, I have always wondered how medications work, how they are made, and what constitutes their differences. This childhood curiosity and my love of science continues to drive my desire to become a pharmaceutical scientist. I am one step closer to making that desire a reality. I am graduating in May 2015 from the University of Rhode Islands College of Pharmacy and College of the Environment and Life Sciences with two bachelors degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biology, respectively. I am a focused, result-driven, fast learner currently seeking an entry-level position as a researcher at a pharmaceutical company. I am passionate about joining a company with a reputation of innovation and discovery that is targeted at helping to change lives for the better. I am not restricted to any geographical location. I strive to succeed at whatever task I undertake and my academic success has placed me among a select number of profiled students on the University of Rhode Islands College of Pharmacy website. My leadership skills as a student treasurer of the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science Club have earned me national recognition for outstanding performance from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
