Sarah Robertson

My name is Sarah Robertson and I am a recent graduate of The University of Akron with a Bachelors in Corporate Finance. I feel a finance role parallels my skills, experience, education, and interest. My education and professional experience have afforded me numerous opportunities to develop the necessary skills to be successful in finance field. With two years experience in the management position, I have had the opportunity to work in progressive positions of responsibility and have gained knowledge and experience in many aspects of the management and leadership position. The experience I have gained at the University of Akron has assisted me in advancing my leadership and management experiences, while continuing to learn and grow as a professional. My background includes experience in all aspects of management. I am currently responsible for the reconciliation of daily business transactions, such as cash management, POS settlement, and membership sales. I am responsible for managing scheduled employees and handling disciplinary issues when necessary. In this role, I am also responsible for event set up. Another responsibility is managing medical, weather, and fire emergencies. Another position that I held was at Northwestern Mutual. I was able to go through their training process. I was given the opportunity to try out the career as a Financial Representative. I was also given the chance to develop networking and business relationship. These responsibilities have allowed me to become efficient in skills such as time management, organization, and being personable, which are all necessary to be successful in the finance field.
