Tempest Sampson

Tempest Sampson is a professional and driven young woman who is passionate about the integration of African American history and culture in urban education, especially in the Rochester, NY area. As a Rochester Native, graduate of the Rochester City School District (Joseph C Wilson Magnet High School, Class of 2012), she works to set a positive example and do all that she can to leave a lasting impact on youth in the city of Rochester through volunteer work and employment experience. Tempest currently attends the Rochester Institute of Technology as a Sociology major. She currently works as a Program Assistant for the Urban League of Rochester's Afterschool Academy. She also works as a student researcher at the Center for Public Safety Initiatives housed at RIT. Tempest brings passion and creative solutions to every problem she encounters. Her desire to see the success of the youth in her community drives her actions and ambitions.
