Kristi Tubbs

Majored in Msn Population Health Nursing
Jacksonville State University, Class of 2019
From Northport, AL
Twelve years ago I began my nursing career in 2004 from Shelton State Community College (SSCC) in Tuscaloosa, Al. as a license practical nurse (LPN). In 2009, I returned to SSCC and received an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and in the year 2012 from Jacksonville State University (JSU), I received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Just recently in 2016, I was awarded a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Population Health. Nursing is a career that chose me. My decision to become a nurse was not in my plans, but early in my adult years I was aware of my caring abilities, dedication and commitment toward others. Because I understand nursing is truly my calling, I embrace it and continue to move forward in my career that has guided me. My educational success has expanded my personal and professional growth and as an Advanced Population Health Nurse (APHN) I aim to improve health at the community level with various populations.
