Knapp Scholar at University of San Diego

Dealing with folding and unfolding objects at the intersection of math (geometric origami), engineering (structural integrity) and architecture (design). Working with Martin and Erik Demaine, the Knapp Chairs of Liberal Arts in the Humanities Center for spring 2018. This father-son team from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), works closely together and collaborates with scholars around the world. Their focus is cutting-edge work in paper folding, video games, discrete geometry, software design, glass blowing, and its connections to many different areas.
