Valerie Bertinelli

I am a recent graduate from Marist College, seeking a role in the Fashion industry incorporating marketing. As a Business Marketing major, I feel it is necessary that all fashion companies have a sales and marketing position open to allow employees specializing in this experience help them find their target customers, as well as promote their brand. I have just returned from a semester abroad in Australia. I traveled to a number of places within Australia, as well as New Zealand and Indonesia. The mix of environments was an amazing way to learn about different cultures. I have made great new friends abroad, as well as networked with many people. With a minor in Fashion Merchandising, I have taken multiple fashion classes ranging from textiles to buying. I have completed many projects, including a trend forecast report and look book, as well as complete business and marketing plans. I have worked at Marist's student-run boutique, Fashionology, where I was able to learn the basics of selling. I also created displays showcasing the merchandise being sold. Using my relevant experience and coursework, I hope to implement this knowledge I have obtained over my four years at Marist College by working for a well-known fashion company in New York City. I have a passion for traveling, and I am also very interested in traveling as part of my career, preferably to the west coast and abroad.
