I have taught and presented at both the under-graduate and post-graduate level at numerous military and civilian institutions both within the United States and foreign countries on topics ranging from counter-terrorism, emergency consequence management, cultural considerations, international crime, failed and failing states, interagency coordination, tactical and organizational leadership, civil-military relations, military support to sustainable development and humanitarian assistance, and public and community relations. Institutions I have presented at include: The American Association of Geographers, The UNA Institute for Learning in Retirement, The Joint Special Operations University, The U.S. Army Special Warfare Center and School, The US Army and US Marine Corps War Colleges, the US Naval Post Graduate Center for Civil Military Relations, The US National Defense University, the NATO School, The United Kingdom Psychological Operations Course, The US Naval Special Warfare Center, the Koffi Annan International Peace Training Center, The US Navy Fleet Information Warfare Center and various international defense academies. I have also worked extensively with the US Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and various International and Non-Governmental Organizations.
