Rachel Thornburg Smith
I began my college experience with a lot of dissappointment because I have a learning dissability in mathmatics. I struggled off working on my college education with countless times of frustration. Finally, determination set in and I was able to get my Associate of Arts from Treasure Valley Community College. I Transferred to Eastern Oregon University into the College of Education. In my course of studying I discovered my heart was not in education and began to peruse Sociology. With the extensive college credits I chose the path of a Liberal Studies degree where I can use my studies in music along with studies I have picked up in the area of Sociology and Anthropology. I love this field and my heart wants to be in social work. I hope to continue with my education and get my BS in Sociology and then my Masters. This I hope to accomplish after I have found a job working in my field of study.
