Since its founding, Phi Kappa Phi has initiated more than 1.5 million members into its ranks. Membership is by invitation to the top juniors, seniors and graduate students who meet specific eligibility criteria at member-campuses. All of these members have received emblems and certificates of membership. However, Phi Kappa Phi is much more than an emblem and a line on resum. It is a global network composed of the best and brightest from all academic disciplines - a community of scholars and professionals building an enduring legacy for future generations. Phi Kappa Phi provides nearly $1 million in awards each year to outstanding students and members. The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity." Phi Kappa Phi hosts chapters at more than 325 colleges and universities in the U.S. and the Philippines. Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist John Grisham, Grammy Award-winning soprano Rene Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.

Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, Alpha Phi Chapter
Alpha Sigma Lambdas aim is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. Alpha Sigma Lambda is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and recognizes high scholastic achievement in an adult students career. By so doing, this Society encourages many students to continue toward and to earn associate and baccalaureate degrees. Through leadership born of effort, both scholastically and fraternally, Alpha Sigma Lambda inspires its candidates to give of their strengths to their fellow students and communities through their academic achievements. Membership shall contain chapters of colleges and universities which offer undergraduate degrees and which are accredited by the regional associations.* Currently, membership is limited to undergraduate students seeking their first degree. Student members must have completed a minimum of twenty-four (24) graded semester hour credits or the equivalent** and shall be matriculated students in an undergraduate degree program in an institution that is regionally accredited in the U.S or recognized by the Ministry of Education of the country in which the program operates. These college credits may not include transfer credits. All twenty-four credits must be taken through and graded at the matriculating institution and must be included in the students cumulative GPA. At least twelve credits of students total credits should be earned in courses in Liberal Arts/Sciences, not including applied Arts/Sciences courses. Accepted transfer courses may be added to the 24 credits earned at this institution until the Liberal Arts/Sciences requirements are fully satisfied. Student members shall be selected from the highest twenty percent of the students who have twenty-four graded credits and are matriculated in an undergraduate degree program. Student members selected must meet minimum GPA from their institution.
