Voices of Pride
The global coronavirus pandemic has changed every aspect of life, and restrictions around large group gatherings mean June's commemoration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month will be decidedly different. Pride also comes this year as many around the country are protesting the death of George Floyd, police brutality and systemic racism. The Elmira Star-Garette reached out to local community leaders, including Dr. Alexa Yesukevich, to reflect on what Pride means to her during this moment in time.
