Alana is the oldest of 4 children. She has set great examples and paved the way for her siblings, who are also making their marks as Kipp St. Louis scholars. When she was a senior at Kipp St. Louis College Preparatory High School, she was a devoted and dedicated Co-Captain of the Dynamic Wolves of Dynasty Step Team and was invited to be a member of The National Society of High School Scholars. She has completed an Advanced Placement courses in Literature and African American History, while also completing a Dual Credit course in Political Science. Alanas initial plan was to minor in acting because of her passion of becoming and actor as well as her experience in the acting field. She has already completed a short film called "Home", featuring celebrity actor Pooch Hall among other productions. Alana's excellence goes beyond in-school achievements and activities, as she was among the very first Cohort for Activate STL; a non-profit organization that allows students to have a hand in protesting and advocating for changes in our educational system. Activate STL had this to say about Alana: "Activate STL is so proud of Alana Wilson from Cohort 1. Alana is a trend-setter and go-getter". Alana has participated in Gentleman of Visions Miss Green and Gold Pageant. She won, taking the title of Miss Green and Gold while getting the chance to travel with GOV to New Jersey and New York. Now as a freshman at Missouri State University, Alana is Majoring in Psychology and Minoring in American Sign Language although she is still very passionate about acting. Alana is able to attend MSU on academic scholarships including the BJC Scholarship that was awarded to select students that gave up to $12,000 to students each academic year. "One of my favorite quotes is actually a Bible scripture, Romans 8:18- "The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us".
