Alexandra Ramaeker Zahn

Alexandra is a creative and motivated junior at Iowa State University's Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Her lifelong passions for writing and photography combined with her hard work ethic have allowed her to develop both skills extensively. At only 12 years old, she was chosen to be interviewed by National Geographic for her writing abilities. Her passion for photography led her to start her own business at the age of 16, AZ Photography, which she still owns and operates today. As a graduate of Central College's Business Horizons program, she was able to develop her skills as a journalist extensively. At this program, she took advantage of the opportunity to learn under professional journalists from the Des Moines Register. She is also the founder of a photography club at her high school and current Managing Editor at Ethos Magazine, the longest running magazine at ISU. Alexandra is already a very experienced traveler and has a desire to continue to experience as many different cultures as she can.
