I am a mediated communications student who has knowledge from both communication classes and work experience in promotions and fundraising. Your company needs an intern who has the necessary knowledge and experiences to advance their goals. By working in music promotions and fundraising for a public radio station, Im familiar with the challenges of working with limited funding. Despite the recession, I worked with a committee to provide hospitality from three different vendors for Nelarusky, the official Lollapoolaza preshow, which benefits Special Olympics Illinois. This experience was discussed at an interview and convinced the radio station that I had the promotions skills and fundraising experience for their event. In December 2011, I solicited over 500 new vendors for 90.9fm WDCB Public Radio, in addition to their existing list of almost 2,000 vendors.
