Cullen Shade

Supervises students in classrooms, lunch rooms and off campus trips under the supervision of the teacher or residential leader.
Supervises student housekeeping activities and inspects dorms and living areas for safety and cleanliness.
Prepares necessary materials as directed by the teacher and/or supervisor.
Assists with activities outside the classroom
Supports discipline policy of the classroom/residential program, resolves conflicts between students and assists in monitoring behavior plans.
Assures that student hygiene, toileting and safety needs are met.
Performs a variety of duties providing for the guidance, care, training, development and socialization of hearing and/or visually impaired, physically challenged or developmentally delayed students.
Follows emergency procedures for fire, storm, tornado drills and warnings.
Promotes the nine dimensions of student development, including cultural, intellectual, life planning, political, spiritual, physical, emotional, sexual and social.
Coordinates programs and recreational activities for students and completes and documents programming plans, paperwork, incidents and student progress.

*Co-op/Internship ended in only 3.2 weeks before state (Indiana) pandemic lockdown.

Aug 2018 – Dec 2018 Student Group Research Project and Presentation for RIT's Research Methods II course in RIT during Fall Semester 2018 under supervision of Dr. Godleski. Studied impacts of 3 different music genres (Jazz, Hip Hop, and R&B) on participants taking math test and studied their personalities of five-factor model (OCEAN Model).
