We provide the necessarytools to help students become familiar with the a variety of health care fieldsand ultimately give them a taste of what it feels like to be a full fledged professional school student. This will be accomplished by better preparing pre-health students who may be from an underrepresented minority group, a medically underserved area, and/or students from a disadvantaged background.
The goal of The Iowa Edge (TIE) is to provide leadership opportunities and year-round programming for minority students and the multicultural community. The Iowa Edge aims to help foster community and student success. The Iowa Edge will continue to pursue growth at both the community and individual level through community building, diversity education, and student support.
