Amanda Clarke

I am a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Delaware studying Exercise Science and pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. I am minoring in Strength & Conditioning, Disability Studies and Spanish. Currently, I am the president of the undergraduate Physical Therapy Interest Club and have researched in the Move-To-Learn-Autism lab on the Yoga Intervention Study and in the Human Performance Lab on Lower Extremity Muscle Testing. I also work as a Rehab Technician at ATI Physical Therapy and volunteer at the UD Physical Therapy Clinic. I also work closely with children. I have been a certified Swim Instructor since January 2012, having instructed infants, children and adults at the Greater Morris Center YMCA. I have worked with Mad Science as a Workshop leader and Summer Camp instructor, and also volunteered to teach swim lessons to children with disabilities through AquaMobile. During the summer of 2016 I was employed as a STEM research instructor in San Francisco, CA to teach middle and high school students. Most recently, I studied Spanish at the Universidad Tecnolgica de Panam and utilized the language by volunteering in an orphanage in Panama City. I will receive my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from University of Delaware in May, 2018. I plan to attend DPT school after completing my undergraduate education.
