Amanda Gardner

Alumni of Central Methodist University
My name is Amanda Danielle Gardner. Everyone calls me by my middle name (thanks to my mother), Danielle. My hometown is Shelbyville, MO where I was born and raised. I went to North Shelby, in Shelbyville, for elementary, middle school, and high school. I am married to Justin Gardner. He is a wonderful friend and husband, and he is very intelligent, talented, and fun. Together, we have an amazing son, Gus, who will 7 years old soon. I call Justin and Gus "my boys." My boys are my everything, along with my other family members and close friends. Justin, Gus, and I live in Saint Francis, Kansas (the FAR northwestern corner of the state). I am an avid reader and love to learn. For the most part, I read non-fiction books on anything related to World War II. I also love to study law, the practice of law, and law-enforcement. In my downtime, you can find me playing with my husband and our son, reading, being a homemaker, and enjoying the outdoors. My family and I attend Gus's little league games (in any sport), go camping, fishing, and hiking together. My husband, son, and I make a great team and spend every second possible together! I am looking forward to graduating from CMU in May of 2016!

Howard Payne Hall Council
Hall council planned activities for residents to enjoy, such as, hall barbeques, game nights, trivia nights, movie nights, and study nights. Also, the Howard-Payne Hall Council was responsible for fielding resident comments, suggestions, and complaints. We listened to each resident's want or need, and then found a way to make their "home away from home" a better environment for each person. We helped to play a small part in ensuring each resident's academic success at Central Methodist.
