Amber Spelman

Lincoln Memorial University, Class of 2018
From Charlotte, North Carolina
During my first semester of law school, my involvement in various organizations has broadened my horizons and emphasized how hard work and preparation are essential to protecting clients interests. Throughout my undergrad at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I interned for three summers at Charles L. Morgan Jr., a small criminal defense where I developed legal experience and exposure to the litigation process. This position gave me the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of reviewing discovery, creating and updating trial notebooks, assisted the attorney in the litigation process, kept the clients case files up to date so they would be ready to take to court, DUI Workups, and I was able to begin developing my legal research and writing skills. In addition, I was able to gain leadership experience through my elected position as vice president of Sigma Alpha Lambda honors society from my sophomore year to my senior year at UNCC. I am confident that my experiences will enable me to an effective and passionate attorney.
