Andrea Engel

I was a role model to the younger girls on the team by always coming to practice and giving it my all no matter what. I set good examples for the younger girls on how to be a good teammate by always cheering for everyone during their races and helping them after their race when they needed it. I really enjoyed meeting a bunch of new friends while doing something I love which is running. I enjoyed the team bonding activities that we did because they made us stronger as a team. Overall, running in high school was a great experience that taught me a lot about myself and also changed the person who I am today. These two sports helped me further develop a sense of dedication and perseverance. They reinforced my opinion that having a strong work ethic pays off. I am so glad that I ran all four years in high school because I learned many life lessons along the way that may prove to be very valuable in my future endeavors.
