I'm Andrew Mims, and I'm passionate about combining hands-on technical skills with creative problem-solving to build innovative solutions. At the University of Arkansas, I've worked on a variety of exciting projects. The two projects I'm most proud of are:
First, the digital forensics demo project, where I developed interactive environments that run on Raspberry Pi with Kali Linux. This project included a demo GUI (graphical user interface) that integrated four key cybersecurity tools: Autopsy, Ransomware simulation, RAID visualization, and a Write Blocker tutorial. This was a team effort, and I collaborated closely with others to bring the full suite of demos together to help users learn about cybersecurity and forensic analysis in an engaging and hands-on way.
Second, I'm an active member of the UARK RIOT Robotics Club, where I design and build battle bots for competition. I enjoy using CAD software to bring ideas to life, creating custom components and detailed 3D models for our bots. Then take the CAD and build the bots from the chassis to the inner electronics components. These projects allow me to apply my engineering skills to a physical application.

RIOT Robtoics
For Fall 24, my project was the CAD design and R&D of a 1lb battle bot. I then battled with my fellow cub members' bots in a competition.
Spring 25: worked on finishing up the R2-D2 robot for RIOT. Also in the spring worked on R&D more 1lb battle bots for ABC robotics educational kits
