I hope to pursue my education in Speech Language Pathology post-graduation from Scranton. I love to participate in service and help the community I am an active member in. On my free time, I love photography, writing, and art. I would also love to pursue my love for art and education by writing children's books.

Working With Refugees 2020

During the Spring 2020 year I worked with my fellow education peers to help refugee students on the weekends. This was done out of community-based learning. I also helped parents of the refugee children learn basic English.

International Service Program (ISP)

During the summer, I participated in a service trip to Jamaica. I love to learn more about human rights and children with special needs. This was the perfect trip for my love of education. As a group, we went to nursing homes, visited orphanages and schools. Jamaica was a beautiful trip. To learn more about another country's rich history and be a part of it was breathtaking.

Working With Refugees

I worked with refugee children at the Scranton library. While the adults were downstairs learning and assimilating, I worked with children to help them further excel in their social skills and academic skills.

Blessing of the Books

Scranton is a diverse community outside of the university. As an education major, I have learned it is important for all students to have access to books. Every semester at Scranton, we collect books and distribute them throughout the community. Before distribution, education majors write a personalized note for each student that will receive a book.
