I am a proud resident of the picturesque American Samoa, an idyllic paradise nestled in the heart of the South Pacific. As the youngest of five siblings, I grew up learning the values of patience, compromise, and the profound importance of family bonds. These early lessons would shape my life in unforeseen ways. In 2002, right after graduating from high school, I made a pivotal decision that would alter the course of my life. Filled with a sense of duty and responsibility, I enlisted in the military. This period began a journey that demanded unwavering commitment, marked by moments of great responsibility and significant sacrifices. Tragically, my military service took an unexpected turn when I suffered an injury that led to a medical retirement. The abrupt end of my military career left me facing an uncertain future, and pursuing higher education was the furthest thing from my mind at the time. In 2012, another significant chapter in my life began when I entered into the institution of marriage. I found a loving partner, and together, we embarked on the fulfilling journey of parenthood, blessed with three wonderful children - two beautiful daughters and an energetic son. Fatherhood became a central theme in my life, inspiring me to strive for excellence in all aspects as I aimed to provide a bright future for my family. Following my unexpected exit from the military, my path took an unexpected twist. Initially, the pursuit of higher education was not on my radar. However, as I witnessed my children growing and evolving, a strong desire to set a positive example for them began to take root. I recognized that education was the key to a brighter future for myself and my family. With an unwavering determination, I rekindled my educational journey. This endeavor was marked by the complexities of online schooling, a pathway I embraced to balance my work commitments and family responsibilities. Enrolling at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), I committed myself to a major in Information Technology with a fervent focus on cybersecurity. My fascination with the ever-evolving world of technology and my aspiration to make a meaningful contribution to the field fueled this decision. My academic pursuit, though not without its challenges, has been heartfelt. It is a testament to my unwavering commitment to my family and my deep-rooted aspiration to create a secure and promising future for them. Through the ups and downs of this educational journey, I've discovered that resilience and dedication can overcome even the most daunting obstacles. Ultimately, my journey from military service to pursuing a degree in IT focusing on cybersecurity at SNHU is a story of perseverance, love, and the enduring pursuit of a better life. My family remains my greatest motivation, and I am deeply committed to inspiring my children to reach their dreams, just as I strive to achieve mine.
