I am an active member in the Live. Learn. Serve. Live Lehigh Community, where students living in the same hall volunteer together on a frequent basis. In addition, I also volunteer outside of the community every month at the Lehigh Valley Hispanic Center's Food Bank.

UNICEF Club

I work with Lehigh University's UNICEF Club and the LU/UN Partnership to coordinate visits for club members to the United Nations in New York so that they can attend briefings relevant to UNICEF's mission of helping children around the globe. I also work within UNICEF's Executive Board to help promote UNICEF's presence on Lehigh's campus and plan fundraisers/events.

Work Experience

Front End Coordinator, How-to-be-a-Champion Mentor, and C.A.R.E. Team Member at Wegmans Food Markets, Inc.

I am responsible for providing incredible customer service and managing the front-end which consists of over two-hundred full-time and part-time cashiers and other employees. On a daily basis I assist the cashiers with technical tasks and actively problem solve. In addition to being a Front End coordinator I also have to other leadership positions in the store. I am a C.A.R.E Team Member and a “How to be a Champion” Mentor. As a C.A.R.E. Team mentor I help organize employee recognition celebrations and programs along with ten other store employees to promote a strong community within our store. As a “How to be a Champion” Mentor, I am responsible for conducting meetings with new employees across the store and then typing meeting summaries which are to be submitted to the Human Resources department. This is also a very select group of employees who are responsible for helping new employees have a smooth transition into the store and feel welcomed in the community.
