Antonia Quintero

Antonia Quintero is a native of Colombia, South America but has lived in South Carolina for the last 19 years. Antonia is a graduate of Hilton Head Island High School SC and is in the process of completing a bachelors in Communication Studies at the University of South Carolina Beaufort after transferring from the Technical College of the Lowcountry in Bluffton SC. Antonias involvement on campus includes working as a Student Ambassador, Orientation Leader, Resident Assistant, Executive Board Member of the Sand Sharks Activities Board, and serving as Senator and currently Vice President in Student Government Association. Her community involvement includes participating in the Miss La Isla Pageant sponsored by La Isla Magazine, volunteering as an interpreter at the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic on Hilton Head Island, SC, working as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head Island and working as a legal assistant with Deverall Immigration Law in Bluffton, SC. Her future goals after graduating are to pursue a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in policy and advocacy. She hopes of working with communities in need and with populations of minority groups that are found in communities today such as women and children. She is currently pursuing an internship with the South Carolina Washington Semester Program and is working in South Carolina Representative James Clyburns congressional office.
