Breakthrough operates summer and school-year programming to partner with students from under-resourced communities on their paths to college. I have worked as a Super Saturday Teacher and will serve as a summer teaching fellow for middle school students. Through the creation of lesson plans, service activities, and mentorship I will help students reverse education inequalities.
As a camp counselor, my job had been to supervise and interact with children at the Boys and Girls Club summer day camp. Establishing strong relationships with campers had been my goal as well as providing children with a strong mentor.
