I earned my Bachelor's in Healthcare Management in 2018 from WGU and shortly after graduating was hired as the third employee of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation. I was instrumental in bringing the Medical School online. OSUCOM-CN is the only Native American Tribal affiliated medical school in the nation. Our work will have a lasting impact on the health of Native American and underserved rural citizens throughout the nation. I was able to contribute and provide oversight on the construction of this facility which led to the success of the school's opening in 2020.
We not only persevered and was successful in opening the school on time but did so in the middle of a pandemic. I continue to serve on the campus as Director of Operations and have become a role model to students on a daily basis. As a Cherokee citizen this project has been a project of passion and OSUCOM-CN is successfully matriculating students because of the efforts and dedication of the team I am fortunate to work with every day. This campus is unique in the diversity and culture it brings to the profession, and I have been instrumental in partnering with other entities to bring awareness to the school by assisting with the production and filming movies in the schools simulation lab and creating cultural projects for students, faculty, and staff.
It is an honor to continue my education at Oklahoma State University and be a part of the Cowboy Family! Loyal & True!
