The Avoca Country View Golf & Grille is a restaurant/lounge as well as a 9-hole golf course. This summer job entailed a variety of responsibilities as a waitress/server/ bartender by taking orders, serving, describing menu items, making sure customers enjoyed their food and take corrective action to rectify customer troubles, setting and clearing tables, and verify customer's identification to meet minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages, a knowledge of alcoholic beverage mixing and serving, the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, interpersonal skills with all types of customers, cashier and money handling of restaurant, bar, and golf course such as green fees and cart rental fees. I had the opportunity to work Ladies Day, Men's Day, Special Events, and a variety of Tournaments.
