Some of my responsibilities included assisting with constituent phone calls and emails, drafting letters, doing legislative research, and attending events to take pictures for the Assemblywoman. As per evaluations for the Clean Tech ECHS Field Experience, I recieved an overall rating of 4/4 from my supervisor, signifying exceedance of expectations.

My partner and I researched, mapped out, and created a business model and budget for a New York High Speed Rail network, than researched and presented about the possible benefits such a system would entail.

Clean Tech ECHS Junior Capstone Project
My research project was concerned with the massive amounts of single use plastic bottles (bottled water primarily) used by students at Mechanicville High School. My project shows how the implementation of water bottle refilling stations and other measures could reduce usage of plastic bottles among the students, per surveys my principal helped distribute. This led to the implementation of water bottle filling stations at Mechanicville High School over the summer of 2018.

Clean Tech ECHS Kid Wind Competition
In Spring 2018, my team was selected as having one of the top 3 performing wind turbine models at Clean Tech ECHS, and we got to attend and compete at the Kid Wind Competition at GE in Schenectady, NY. (The picture below is not of our final design and is only meant as an example rather than representation of our finished product.)

Clean Tech ECHS Microhome Unit
In Winter 2017-18, my group and I created a model microhome for an expo presentation at Clean Tech ECHS. I was responsible for gathering data, scaling costs, energy usage, and emissions for the microhome. Our microhome was selected as the standout project at the expo, and will be on display at the Saratoga County Fair.

Clean Tech ECHS Solar Needs Project
In Winter 2018-19, my group and I created a presentation and scale model detailing how we would use solar energy to serve the needs of a particular people or location. We decided to address the need to reduce air pollution in the city of Los Angeles. To accomplish this, we chose to install solar panels on the roof of a parking garage downtown and use them to power electric vehicle chargers, to incentivize the adoption of electric vehicles over their gas fueled counterparts.

Capital District Patriot Flight High School Essay Contest Winner (2017)
I was one of two winners for Capital District Patriot Flight's first annual High School Student Essay Contest, for which I wrote a 500 word essay about "Freedom And What It Means To Me". I was awarded a flight with Patriot Flight in October 2017, on a day trip to Washington DC. On the flight, I served as guardian for a Vietnam Veteran, who was visiting the war memorials dedicated to himself and his brothers and sisters in arms for the first time. I have since stayed involved with Capital District Patriot Flight by attending events and doing volunteer work.
