From Findlay, OH
I am of Lao descent, my parents having been refugees of Laos. I have also traveled abroad to visit my family back in Laos, and this experience going back to my home country shaped my world view and my choice in majors. My goal in life is to become an author specializing in Southeast Asian culture and issues of race and biculturalism in both fiction and nonfiction forms. Through literature, I want to teach the world about the stories of Southeast Asia.
I am also able to speak English, French, and Lao.
I am Buddhist as well.
