HOSA
Served as President of the former graduating class of 2016-2017. We were a very active club when it came to serving our community. Although, there were a total of 80 members it was a mostly feminine club. We participated in our own Operation Christmas where we fundraised throughout the year to buy Christmas presents for needy children at the Cliff Hagan's Boys and Girls Club here in Owensboro. We were able to achieve our goal to buy presents for 40 children this past year. HOSA also helped with the Big Brother Big Sister Organization. We would also make a annual visit to a local nursing home where we played bingo and made crafts with the residents who lived there. Our club also competed at the state level in vast areas of health and/or health business. I assumed the Parliamentary Procedure team I competed in would not place so i presumably told them if we were to place then our advisor could put makeup on me. Needless to say I made a terrible decision that will haunt me to the end of my days. We had 13 of our own competitors including myself place at the state level and were approved to compete at the International level in Orlando, Florida in the upcoming summer.

FFA
Served as Vice President of the graduating class 2016-2017. Future Farmers of America had a major impact on my life because I served at Regional Farm Banquets, our county fair coke booth, or cooking for various organizations in our community. I developed personality skills, public speaking, lifetime friends, dirty boots and hands, and the ability to sing International Harvester word for word! I will cherish every memory we made from singing on the bus to conventions/competitions and singing karaoke in the pouring rain with the FFA Sate Camp leaders when everyone else had left. Although, I might outgrown the jacket. I will never outgrown the memories of that royal blue and corn gold emblem.
