Project Assist Tutor at Center for Students with Disabilities
As a Project Assist Tutor, you are responsible for meeting one-on-one with the student(s) you are assigned with to assist with either the completion of homework of making sure that they manage their time. You are responsible for communicating for meeting times/location (or the absence of if you both mutually agree to cancel or something comes up), what time(s) you are going to meet up for the week, and giving suggestions as to what the student should do first. You are the motivation for them to get their work done, you are the person they ask if they have a question. Responsibility and communication is a must because you must not only take charge with emails or personal communication, but you must also schedule out your time to accommodate to their schedule. It revolves around them, they are the ones that need the assistance, and we are the ones that are called to help.
