After obtaining my bachelor's in business administration and working briefly in commercial real estate valuation in 2010, I decided to return to school to study nursing. I thoroughly enjoy my clinical rotations in the ER, ICU, and OR settings; so one of my short-term goals is to find a position in one of these settings upon graduation in May 2016. However, since I still have remaining clinicals in additional departments--e.g psych/mental health and others--I intend to approach all clinical rotations with enthusiasm and an open mind. I enjoy working with veterans because I respect the physical and emotional toll that military service places on servicemen and women; but I also very much enjoy working in the pediatric and neonatal settings. Therefore, I would ultimately like to work at the VA, a military hospital, or a children's hospital.

I have been extremely active in CSNA events at SDSU and in the surrounding community. I have assisted with new student orientations, community health screenings, and community college health and science fairs to promote nursing as a profession. I have also received my CNSA graduation cord but I continue to participate in events.
