Hello, my name is Brittany, but most know me as Brittany Marie. I will make a long story short by saying this: There was a time in my life that my world rotated around the use of drugs, alcohol, and money. However, March 28th, 2019, was a day that changed my life FOREVER! By the grace of my higher power, whom I choose to call God, I was given, what I know to be, my final chance at life. I am not sure exactly why I feel this way, it's just one of those kinds of things that you know, you know?! I know that I serve a purpose, just as I feel that WE all serve a unique purpose in life. My purpose in life is to carry the message to the addict who still suffers from the disease of addiction by using my experiences, strengths, and hopes. For me to successfully serve this purpose I have elected to obtain a bachelor's degree in Human Services with a concentration in substance abuse and become a Substance Abuse Counselor.

Brittany Burns was recognized for making Honor Roll

I began my academic journey on March 01, 2021. I am currently enrolled in my eighth term at Southern New Hampshire University and am proud to say that I have managed to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA with hard work and dedication. It hasn't been easy, but nothing in life worth having is or comes easy. It's all about pushing forward and pushing forward even harder when life decides to push back sometimes Someone very special to me once told me, "When you want something in life, I mean like when you really, really want it, you can't just make it your goal - you have to make it your "focus point" and no matter what, NEVER lose focus on it." I am so thankful that this piece of advice has stuck with me through all that I have been through and I am even more thankful for the fine-tooth tuning that I have on this focus point,
