Brittany Penzer
I currently study Russian language, literature, and culture at the University of Iowa. In 2014, I will be moving to Indiana University to begin graduate work in the Russian Literature MA program. My research interests include film adaptations of literature, Russian emigre writers, themes of exile and nostalgia, Romani studies, and investigation of specific writers including Pushkin, Lermontov, Tolstoy, and Nabokov.
I am also a member of the board of directors for the International Academy for Russian Music, Arts, and Culture. Our organization sponsors IARGUS, the International Annual Russian Guitar Festival and Seminar, held in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. More details are iarmac.org and iargus.org.
