Brittany Wadsworth

Hi, I'm Brittany, 30 years old. I'm married with two children and I just decided this year, on a whim, that I wanted to go back to school to pursue my dream of being a license therapist specializing in Mental Health. I've always loved to communicate my traumas and my accomplishments with others. I have a son who has ADHD and ODD and he's one of the main motivations for me pursuing this major. I want to become a better and more understanding parent, I want to have more patience, and understand how mental health affects the brains functions. I also suffer with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I want to lift the stigma that surrounds mental health. I love to listen to music, sing, play video games, watch tv, read, and my husband and I are huge movie buffs. I've always strived for excellence and I will continue to do so. One of my long-term goals is to get all A's on every assignment that I do for all my classes while I'm in school. My motivation and determination to succeed are driven by my husband, my children, my best friend, and to prove to myself that I can do it, even after all these years since I graduated high school.
